“Ahead of the Sponsio Academia for the newly inducted medical doctors, I had the privilege of informing His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, about the outstanding academic feat of Dr. Joseph Peter Akpan. His Excellency immediately directed the Honourable Commissioner for Education to facilitate his Master’s program abroad without delay.”

During the Induction/Sponsio Academia Ceremony for newly inducted medical doctors at the University of Uyo Permanent Site, Dr. Joseph Peter Akpan was further rewarded with a ₦200,000 cash gift in recognition of his exceptional academic achievement.

- ₦10 million reward to Edidiong Essien, who scored 8 As in the 2023 WASCE
- ₦15 million grant to five Akwa Ibom students who won the Singapore-Bilateral International School Debate, plus ₦5 million for their teachers
- ₦5 million support for Otobong Philip Udoh, a female tipper truck driver breaking barriers in a male-dominated field
